Medical Camps for Flood affected community at district Dadu October 3, 2022

HANDS Health program set up Medical camp in district Dadu- Sindh for the flood affected community. Due to the floods 2022 vector borne and water borne disease have been prevailing. These includes Diarrhea, Cholera, Malaria and Dengue.
Distribution of Hygiene kits to flood affected people in district at Jhal Magsi- Balochistan October 3, 2022
HANDS team distributed hygiene kits at Govt. Inter College Tent, Jhal Magsi, Balochistan. Assistant Commissioner Jhal Magsi, Syed Rahmatullah Shah, also participated in the activity. Water tankers were also provided in tents and awareness sessions were also conducted.

HANDS Tele-Health Services for Flood Victims in Sing October 4, 2022
HANDS telehealth project Asaan Sehat program in collaboration with Tech4Life has made telehealth meaningful and accessible for all. Asaan Sehat is something beyond just a digital platform. It is a primary healthcare innovation reaching the flood affected areas and communities. They have conducted ECGs and ultrasound scans in flood affected camps in Sindh.

Distribution of Hygiene Kits at district Jhal Magsi- Balochistan October 4, 2022

HANDS team distributed hygiene kits at Govt. Inter College, Jhal Magsi, Balochistan. Assistant Commissioner Jhal Magsi, Syed Rahmatullah Shah, participated in the activity. Water tankers were also provided in tents and awareness sessions on maintaining hygiene were also conducted.
Free Medical camps at district Umerkot for Flood affected population October 4, 2022
Health services are one of the most crucial needs of flood-affected areas. HANDS Umerkot team organized a free Medical Camp in village Khan Sahib Atta Muhammad Palli taluka, Umerkot, and provided health services to flood-affected families in the district.

We appreciate all the teachers in HANDS team who are trying their best to make education accessible for each individual who cannot afford to go to schools. HANDS Senior Management visit to Razmak October 6, 2022
Chief Executive HANDS and management members visited HANDS Category D Hospital Razmak, North Waziristan, to monitor activities. The hospital is being run in public private partnership with KP Government. A meeting was also held with the members of KP health foundation, medical superintendent and staff.

Flood Emergency Response in Collaboration with Tayyaba Organization October 8, 2022

HANDS with the support of Tayyaba organization has completed one-month Flood Emergency Response in Lasbela. HANDS team has distributed 100 ration bags, 100 water wheels, 100 hygiene kits, and also provided 30 water tankers to the flood affected population in Lasbela.
Food Ration distribution at Rajanpur in Collaboration with Shell Pakistan October 9, 2022

HANDS with the support of Shell Pakistan Limited distributed 350 ration bags to the flood affected population of District Rajanpur, Punjab. Floods 2022 damaged crops and other ways of earning livelihoods of the affected population.

HANDS Annual National Conference 2022 from 11-13th October 2022
National Conference was held at HANDS Head Office from October 11-13, 2022. All the Project Managers presented their respective project achievements, challenges and way forward. There were 42 posters of 73 projects presented by Project Managers of six service delivery departments of HANDS including health, education, inclusive development and disaster management, livelihood, WASH and IDEAS Program. Cash awards were also distributed among top 10 winners.

HANDS Umerkot team organized free Medical Camps in UC Atta Muhammad Palli taluka, Umerkot, and provided health services to flood affected families and treated different diseases being faced by them.

Celebration of World Sight Day 2022 October 14, 2022
On the occasion of World Sight Day 2022 with Love Your Eyes as theme, a seminar regarding the importance of eye health and awareness walk was organized jointly by HANDS and COAVS in collaboration with CBM Christian Blind Mission, in district Layyah- Punjab. Representatives from different government departments and stakeholders participated including Social Activists, community people and students of special education school.

HANDS organized Family Charity Dinner at London-UK October 14, 2022

HANDS International in collaboration with MCEC organized a fundraising event for the flood victims. This event was hosted by Naeem Raza- one of HANDS philanthropists. The event took place on Friday October 14, 2022 at 06:30 PM to 10:30 PM.

Celebration of Global Hand Washing Day October 15, 2022
HANDS with the support of UNICEF Pakistan, celebrated Global Handwashing Day 2022 with the theme ‘Unite for Universal Hand Hygiene’ in different schools, communities, NFE Centre, Child Friendly Spaces and health facilities at Karachi. Hygiene Promotion sessions were conducted with participation from each class level including teachers where the WASH teams briefed about the importance of Global Handwashing Day, what hand hygiene means, and how important it is for all of us for a better health. The sessions were conducted with a banner display in front along with some charts carrying key messages on them. After the events, soaps were distributed among the participants to encourage them to adapt to the practice of washing hands with soap, provided by UNICEF.

Distribution of WASH items by UNICEF in district Bela- Balochistan October 17, 2022
HANDS Lasbela, Balochistan team engaged in activities under WASH UNICEF Emergency Project. The team conducted health sessions with men, women, and students. They distributed Hygiene Kits, Aqua Tab, IEC materials, installed Plastic Water tanks, Latrine, and bathing cubes, also provided them clean water through water trucking in 5 villages of UC- Sheh Tehsil Uthal, & 4 villages of UC- Kannar Tehsil Bela, Balochistan.

Dr. Shaikh Tanveer Ahmed,CE HANDS Pakistan was invited on Pakistan Radio channel FM100 Pakistan’s show Rehbar, which is hosted by RJ Mahnoor Qureshi, to talk about the recent floods in Pakistan. Dr. Tanveer explained the density and impact of massive Floods 2022 and shared HANDS work to support flood affected population to provide the relief to flood victims.

Mr. Atif Bajwa – President & CEO of Bank Alfalah appreciated the efforts of Dr. Tanveer – CE HANDS in community development and inclusive approach to flood relief and rehabilitation programs. He also presented cheque of PKR 5 million under their Flood Relief Program, 2022 to support HANDS Rehabilitation Program for flood affected people of Pakistan.

HANDS Shaheed Benazir Abad Team completed the ration distribution among 350 families under Shell Pakistan LTD Project. To make these times of crisis a little easier Food is one of the basic and crucial needs which no one should be deprived of.

HANDS in collaboration with UNICEF established Child Friendly Spaces in district Larkana Sindh October 23, 2022
HANDS established 10 Child Friendly Spaces at District Larkana. In these spaces, flood affected children were provided with social and psychological support through counselling. HANDS also conducted mental health activities as well as pictorial, educational, and awareness sessions for children on VENA (Violence Exploitation Neglect and Sexual Abuse). Children were told about how to prevent from every harmful practices during the traumatic situation as well as the normal circumstances, while parents were also sensitized on the same.

HANDS in Collaboration with I-Care Foundation distributed Food Ration bags in Shaheed Benazir Abad-Sindh and Rajanpur-Punjab on October 31, 2022
HANDS with the support of Medico International (MI) distributed 100 ration bags,100 hygiene kits, 100 Mosquito nets, and 100 kitchen sets among flood affected population of each district both in Shaheed Benazir Abad (SBA) in Sindh and district Rajanpur in Punjab.
